Today I launched my book recounting the 70-year history of ATypI (the Association Typographique Internationale) at this week’s ATypI conference at Stanford: Type is everywhere: a history of the Association Typographique Internationale. It’s freely available; go check it out!
I gave the opening talk this morning, “70 years of ATypI,” and demo’d the responsive digital book that Jason Pamental produced, using his typographic and user-interface magic. It’s an extension of web design, made to be easily and comfortably readable and responsive to any screen orientation. Try out the “swipe” interface: a paginated website. That’s Jason’s doing.
I welcome response, including corrections or additional information. Please enjoy.
